The proposed program ‘SAHAYATRA’ will be organized on June 6, 2010 by MSG at Kathmandu University CV Raman Auditorium. The program is scheduled to run from 9 AM to 5 PM.
The main objectives of this program are to establish a network between students of different colleges so that an environment of mutual sharing is created and to help students make contact and develop relations with media professionals so that they know what is expected of them when they graduate and become professionals themselves.
The target-audience of this program is students of intermediate and bachelors’ level, media academicians and media professionals. We expect an audience of 200.
The benefits of the program are that a network will be established between students of the participating colleges and that the participating students will gain insight into the media profession.
We are sure that the event will be very fruitful for all the participants. For this event we will invite experts from print, broadcast (TV+Radio) sectors of the media and related industries like film and advertising to speak at the program. Also, dignitaries from within KU will address the audience.
An hour long plenary session will also be conducted where students and teachers will interact with each other on the topic: “Multi disciplinary nature of media education.”
